But the current Israeli politicians are the very opposite of that,
dangerously close to when God, through the prophet Ezekiel [34],
warned the leaders of Judah
that their ruling was "harsh",
"overfed, arrogant, unconcerned, ... haughty" [16:49],
and they would be destroyed
- which occurred in the exile to Babylon a few years later.
This occurred because they misrepresented the God
Whose very character is love, justice and peace.
