This is a collection of Elaine Storkey's Thought For The Day on BBC Radio 4, used with her permission. They start with one from 27th September 2000, which was excellent - crisp, thought-provoking, pithy - so I asked her if I could put it on the web, so that everyone may benefit. She sent it (because she owns the copyright) and I put it up. Then, at my request, she sent more recently, so that more of her thoughts could provoke and stimulate us. In placing them here I have taken the liberty of emphasizing the main points of her argument as for readability, and inserting links to other thoughts or sites where relevant.
